Megan Powers (she/her)

Massage Therapist

What motivates you to come to work everyday?

I am motivated by my connections with each client and their family members. If I can help them relax and reduce any pain or discomfort for the time that I am with them, that makes me feel useful.

What is your favorite part of your job?

While massage is the driving force for us being together, sometimes it is just the opportunity for the clients to talk to someone -- get their mind off of what is going on with them for an hour or so. Reminiscing and sharing stories of their lives. One family member told me that her mother "comes to life" when I come to massage her. She loves to sit outside the door and listen to her mother laugh and hear stories from her mother that she had never heard before.

What is your favorite holiday?

I love Halloween! My boyfriend and I start in January trying to figure out what costumes we will wear in October!

Tacos or pizza?

Hmmmm... tough choice. I think pizza.

If you could be any animal, what would you be?

I would love to be a bird so I could fly high and soar all over the place.
